1920    Foundation of the company Siemen & Hinsch (SiHi) in St. Margarethen (north of Germany) by the inventor of side channel pumps Otto Siemen and Johannes Hinsch
1921Agency agreements with companies in Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Netherlands
1927Development of multi-stage centrifugal pumps
1929Presentation of a self-priming side channel pump at the Leipziger exhibition, that sucks 9 meters over the top
1939Development of liquid ring vacuum pumps
1948Development of the so called combi-pumps (centrifugal pump with self-priming stage)
1971Extension of the product range by volute casing pumps through the acquisition of HALBERG Maschinenbau GmbH (Ludwigshafen)
1980Development of magnetic drive systems for the SIHI product range 
1981Thyssen Bornemisza Group acquired 50 % of the SIHI Group 
1986Buyout of the product range from the company MAN 
1988Buyout of the product range from the company Balcke-Dürr 
1990Foundation of the company SIHI Anlagentechnik in Itzehoe 
1995Market launch of SIHIdry dry running vacuum pumps 
1996Thyssen Bornemisza Group acquires additional 50 % share from the heir of Otto Siemen
1997Member of Sterling Fluid Systems Group. SIHI changed the company name to Sterling SIHI in Germany and to Sterling Fluid Systems in Europe and Asia
2000Relocation of production for side channel pumps and centrifugal pumps from Itzehoe to France and Spain 
2000Opening of the new production location in Spain (Madrid) for industrial and standard centrifugal pumps
2004Introduction of the new division structure (chemical, industrial, energy and environment) in Europe
2006Sterling Fluid Systems Asia changed the company name to SIHI Pumps Asia
2007Opening of the new production location in Nanhui (China) for liquid ring vacuum pumps (compact design) and vacuum systems
2015Flowserve Corporation acquired SIHI Group
